After flying low on the radar for last 4 years, M.I.A is back with her latest single, “Bad Girls”, from her Vicki Leekx mixtape. Though the tape was released back in 2010, M.I.A. dropped the video for “Bad Girls” yesterday (February 2nd), via the Vice channel on YouTube.

The video depicts M.I.A. in the midst of a youthful revolution, featuring stunts that could rival the Fast & Furious series. Donning her signature colorful outfits, she appears calm throughout the 4 minute clip, but according to the video’s press release, she was nervous while on set in Morocco:

“I thought I was gonna die on the shoot when I saw the drifting,” says M.I.A. “It was a four day shoot so everyone was on edge the whole time specifically ME when I had to do bluesteel singing to the camera while the cars did doughnuts on the wet road ten feet away. In my mind I was thinking how I was gonna deliver the video to Vice with no legs.”

Despite being surrounded by danger, with the rising trend of shows such as Bad Girls Club and the seemingly cult-like bad-b*tches movement, does M.I.A have all of these “Bad Girls” beat?
